Whitford was comparing two requisition reports that he had been given. One from the base from which Unicorn was drawing its supplies and provisions before heading out into the frontier and frontline once again. It had been an exhausting matter ensuring that the vast amount of materiel the ship relied on to function had been loaded from all points in the Coalition, strained as they were due to the war with the Romulans.

That mysterious, almost invisible foe, Whitford thought sourly as he triple-checked the reports. The Romulans, however, were not his primary issue at this very moment. It was the large discrepancy in medical supplies supposedly delivered and received that was causing the issue. The base report was notably larger than what had been received by the Unicorn. He was expecting his deputy, and the Chief Medical Officer to verify his suspicions.

He carried an Argosy made PADD which Dranoel brought with him from his previous assignment. Furthermore, he was well versed in Vulcan script by now, a few words here and there still had to find their place in his memory, but they will.

Dranoel spotted Commander Whitford and approached. "Sir," he said by way of greeting.

Coleman saw Whitford and Dranoel walking his way. Whitford looked almost disgruntled, but he wasn't sure. Maybe the wheels were spinning his head and he was thinking about something. "Penny for your thoughts, Commander. Major? Especially you though, Commander. It looks like you're really into whatever is on that PADD of yours."

"Commander," Dranoel greeted Coleman with a respectful incline of his head. "I arrived a minute ago," Dranoel shrugged, he wasn't Vulcan but still acted as one. "So I do not know what the matter is."

'Just the man,' Whitford interjected looking up. 'You both see these requisition orders we placed? There's an additional 30 per cent of materiel on the base manifest.' He waggled the padd between both of them. 'I know you catalogued everything that came over from Jay-Eight, so it looks like we have some medical supplies missing.'

Coleman asked for the PADD and even began reading everything in Vulcan. He looked over at Whitford and Dranoel, saying, "Yeah, I can totally read Vulcan. Had to read a few Vulcan medical texts before and thought that it would be good to read. But, this is interesting. Has anyone looked into the sensor logs to make sure that they got onboard?"

"We should double-check that, if agreeable Commander, I think contacting Base J8's support department for their logs and records, as well as physically go through their cargo to see if our supplies are there would be a good plan?" Dranoel explained his thoughts. "I believe dividing the two actions between us will help," he said.

An intercom called Whitford away, and he ordered the two to sort it out before they were due to depart.

"Yes sir," Dranoel replied, and the Commander left them.

"Just let us know if you need anything else, sir," Coleman replied as Whitford headed out of the Cargobay. Coleman looked over at Dranoel as he sat at one of the Cargobay workstations and started pulling up the records and logs of everything that was ordered and came through Sickbay in the last 24 hours. Offering up a seat, Coleman said, "Take a seat. This might take a minute, as a lot of stuff has come through the ship in the last day or so. Might take a moment for the computer to compile a list."

"Would any supplies go anywhere else on board before Sickbay?" Dranoel's tone concerned but confident they will solve this missing supplies issue. He added a moment later, "we do have medical kits around the ship, do we not?"

"Well, it wouldn't explain such a loss as that. It might explain a little bit, but not what we're missing here," Coleman replied as he was looking through the supply lists and logs for the last few hours.

After some consideration, Dranoel spoke up. "The only other option I can think of at this moment is the supplies were mislabelled."

From the moment that Dranoel said that, Coleman's face went a bit flush and the blood started to go out of his face. He looked at Dranoel and said, "If that's the case, we need to double and triple check everything cause if we were to give out the wrong medication in the wrong doses, it could be lethal for the person we give it to. So, lets start looking over everything again."

Since Dranoel didn't actually sit, he stood there and blinked. It was going to be a large task, cross-reference containers with the actual contents could delay their departure. That is when he had another thought. "Forgive me, there is another possibility which is linked to the one I just gave. The supplies are still on J8 and mislabelled, meaning they never sent it over."

He frowned, "to make things go faster, I propose that I contact J8 from the bridge, and I'll report back, hopefully with the supplies already being sent." Dranoel's expression softened along with his tone, as he didn't want to leave the Chief Medical Officer alone in coordinating a re-evaluation of all supplies. "Apologies, but you are better knowledgeable about medical supplies than I to know if what is labelled truly is what is in the containers. I hate to say that even the supplies themselves could have been mislabelled as well. Once I have confirmed with J8 that they don't have our supplies or our supplies are actually on its way aboard, I will join you, is that acceptable Commander?"

Coleman let out a sigh of relief. He was glad that the supplies hadn't come over yet for any sort of use. Dranoel's idea was a good one. Looking over him, Coleman said, "Yeah, it would be good to contact them from the bridge. Might be a good idea to go ahead and get the Colonel up to speed on what's been happening with the supplies too, since we'll be up there."

"I will be back soon, sir," Dranoel smiled as he headed out of sickbay. He wasn't sure Coleman was going to accompany him by the 'we'll' part but like the human saying no time like the present, he hustled as time was of the essence.

Coleman quickly followed the Major out and they headed towards the nearest turbolift. Coleman was checking and rechecking several things on the PADD that he brought with him. "Yeah, there's just something going on here. Something happened to that medicine. Either mislabeling or something..." Coleman's voice trailed off as he was thinking about what could have happened.

When Coleman followed him into the turbolift, Dranoel raised an eyebrow, but quickly reached out to indicate that they wanted the Bridge. The lift began moving. "Do you know how long we have here at J8 base, Commander?" He feared he may have failed to recall their stay timetable.

"I'm not exactly sure how long we're going to be here. I'm sure that the Colonel would probably know though," Coleman said as he thought about it for a moment.
